Kieven Conver: Representing Man Mauled in K-9 Attack by Canton Police

Bobby DiCello is representing an innocent, unarmed Black man who was pulled over by two Canton, Ohio police officers, and who was subsequently mauled in a vicious attack by a dog under police control.

Bobby’s client was driving at a normal speed when he and his friend were stopped by police officers. The scene quickly escalated, with one of the officers unleashing his K-9 dog to attack the detainees. Neighborhood bystanders called the police officers to stop, only to become verbally victimized themselves.

This is at least the fifth major incident in only two years involving excessive force unleashed by the Canton police department. Residents of Canton are forced to live in a city under siege by the police.

Bobby has been retained by the family terrorized by the horrific dog mauling incident. He calls upon Governor Mike DeWine, State Senators, and the Department of Justice to immediately step up and start an investigation into systemic, racially motivated violence and the gang-style culture prevalent in the Canton Police Department.

The Canton K-9 Officer has been fired from the Canton Police Department.
